# Nerdi > Nerdi is an iPhone app (iOS 17 or later) that shows three real research papers a day from 20 fields, from medicine to the humanities. Each paper comes with its original abstract, unchanged, and a free PDF when one exists. Nerdi uses no AI summaries. Papers come from OpenAlex, an open catalog of scholarly research. Reading is free; Nerdi Plus ($29.99 a year in the US) adds an unlimited library, notes, offline PDFs, BibTeX/RIS export and sync. Made by Koray Özcan, a solo developer in Turkey. Every page on this site has a Markdown version: add `.md` to its address, or send `Accept: text/markdown`. ## Main pages - [Nerdi home](https://nerdi.pages.dev/): what the app does, pricing, how it compares - [Nerdi (Türkçe)](https://nerdi.pages.dev/tr/): the same in Turkish - [Research papers by field](https://nerdi.pages.dev/papers/index.md): new papers in 20 fields, each with its original abstract - [Alanlara göre akademik makaleler](https://nerdi.pages.dev/tr/makaleler/index.md): the field pages in Turkish - [Get Nerdi on the App Store](https://apps.apple.com/app/id6813826387) ## Guides - [The best apps for reading research papers on iPhone in 2026](https://nerdi.pages.dev/blog/best-apps-to-read-research-papers-on-iphone.md) - [Where to read research papers for free, legally](https://nerdi.pages.dev/blog/read-research-papers-free-legally.md) - [How to keep up with research papers without drowning](https://nerdi.pages.dev/blog/keep-up-with-research-papers.md) - [Zotero, Paperpile or Nerdi: which do you need?](https://nerdi.pages.dev/blog/zotero-paperpile-or-nerdi.md) - [Akademik makale okuma uygulamaları (2026)](https://nerdi.pages.dev/tr/blog/akademik-makale-okuma-uygulamalari.md) ## Optional - [Most-cited papers by field and year](https://nerdi.pages.dev/papers/neuroscience/most-cited-2020.md): one example; every field has lists for 2016 to 2025 - [Support](https://nerdi.pages.dev/support.html) - [Privacy policy](https://nerdi.pages.dev/privacy.html)
